***LATEST NEWS: CMC media advisory for events to celebrate entry into force of the Convention of Cluster Munitions on 1 August 2010 ***

This section of the site is aimed at journalists, bookers, photographers and other members of the media interested in issues related to cluster munitions.
A central goal of the CMC is to raise public awareness about the range of issues at stake and the importance of banning cluster bombs. We therefore want to be as helpful as possible to journalists covering related topics. In collaboration with the more than 300 organisations that make up the CMC, we are happy to provide the following:
PRESSLIST / UPDATES
- We provide regular updates to journalists on the progress of different countries in signing, ratifying and implementing the Convention on Cluster Munitions. To be added to our media mailing list to receive press releases, please contact Conor Fortune at conor@stopclustermunitions.org. Make sure you include your name, the media outlet you work for, and any specific regional or thematic areas of interest.
INTERVIEWS
- We can arrange interviews with members of our coalition on different areas of expertise and in a wide range of countries. These include technical experts, researchers, cluster bomb survivors, campaigners, programme managers, etc.
MULTIMEDIA
- We can provide photos and footage documenting the effects of cluster bomb use, showing stockpile destruction and spotlighting affected people and communities, as well as highlighting key conferences and events during the Oslo Process and beyond.
- To view and download high-resolution photographs, please visit the CMC image gallery. Additional images are available on the CMC’s Flickr photostream.
- For video, please visit the CMC YouTube channel.
STORY IDEAS & COMMENTARY
- We are happy to provide opinion pieces, comments and articles written by CMC members and their staff in the field. Any text on this website may be replicated in other publications free of charge, but please contact our Communications and Media Officer to let us know.
