Costa Rica Prepares to Take up Convention on Cluster Munitions Presidency

Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Affairs, Manuel González Sanz reiterated the country’s commitment to the eradication of cluster munitions yesterday during an event organized by the Foreign Ministry, the Presidency of the Republic, the Costa Rica Association of Journalists and the Cluster Munition Coalition. The “Humanitarian Disarmament” workshop for journalists took place just two weeks before Costa Rica hosts the Fifth Meeting of States Parties and assumes the presidency of the Convention on Cluster Munitions.
